7 steps…
The Setup:
- Protagonist: Sam Witwicky
- Antagonist: Megatron
- Occupation (at start): Sam Witwicky achieves 3 A’s, and gets 2 grand so that his Father puts in another 2 grand and buys him his first car.
- Occupation (at end): Owner of the coolest car in the universe, Bumblebee
- Needs/Goals: To impress Mikaela Banes… for just about the whole movie.
- Problems: To keep the All Spark (cube) out of Megatrons hands so he cant turn the Earths technology into an army.
Inciting Incident
- A helicoptor approaching US airspace is within perimeters and is asked to land because the vessel has not been identified. When it lands, it transforms from a Giant Apache Helicoptor, to an even bigger Decepticon called Blackout, this is when it annihilates the base and steals precious files from the US Government regarding project Iceman, which is the location of Megatron. Then when Sams Camaro goes missing, and he goes to get it back, only to find out its a giant robot that transforms into a car, then being harrassed by an awesome Police car (Mustang 07), asking for the Allspark and asking about Sams Ebay page.
Act One Turning Point
- We find that a small Decepticon has found its way onto airforce one, and is stealing information about Project Iceman, so the server hardlines are then cut so the information cannot be retrieved. Then As Sam runs away from the harrassing Police car, his old Camaro comes in to save the day. We are then introduced to a bunch of generic Transformers that fall to Earth and take over certain automobiles of their size. Now is when Bumblebee takes both Sam and Mikaela to meet the Autobots, and getting a new upgrade on the way, Upgrading to the Camaro 07′ Concept. As both Sam and Mikaela are taken to meet the rest of the Transformers, they learn that Megatron is after the Allspark, and the Decepticons are here on Earth looking for it also.
Mid Point
- Now is when Sam and Mikaela start looking for the glasses that the Autobots needs to find the cube. When they find them, Sector Seven come to Sams house to take him for having direct contact with these "Aliens" (transformers), and eventually Optimus Prime comes to save the kids, but when running away from Sector Seven, Bumblebee is taken prisoner.
Act Two Turning Point
- As Optimus Prime has found the location of the Allspark, Sam and Mikaela are taken to a secret underground base built with football fields of concrete to keep out a certain energy, and that energy is the cube. In Mikaelas handbag is the transformer that was on airforce one, transformed into a mobile phone, it is then when this Decepticon sends out a message to all of the other Decepticons to point the location of Megatron, Starscream then comes in and destroys the power station, shutting down the cryogenic system that Megatron is held under. It is here when Sam explains the situation the humans are in, and they take Sam to Bumblebee and they retrieve the cube, then escape.
Act Three Turning Point
- Sam and the Autobots head for the city to hide the cube from the Decepticons, and it is here when we lose Jazz, one of the Autobots. As both sides battle on, Sam tried to get the cube out of the city, and to no avail, does not succeed. as the Giant robot war rages on, Bumblebee loses both legs to an attack from Starscream. As both sides gain casualties, Sam almost escapes, but then Megatron and Optimus Prime get into a battle, and as Optimus Prime seems to be losing, he tells Sam to put the cube in his chest, as he will sacrafice himself to destroy it. Sam refuses and pushes the Cube into Megatrons chest, killing him instantly.
Resolution
- Even though the city is filled with destruction, the Autobots find out they lost Jazz, Bumblebee can now talk and wants to stay with Sam. So then all the Autobots stay on Earth, as Optimus Prime sends out a transmission to the universe, for any stray Autobots to find their way to Earth.
